Spectators: 7101 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Santo Firmo started the match with the kick off. Silvio Rio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Manuel Luke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes F.C CONCORDIA RIOIV got a freekick which was hit by Santo Firmo. Santo Firmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Independiente booed when F.C CONCORDIA RIOIV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Innocenzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvio Rio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Santo Firmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, F.C CONCORDIA RIOIV's Enrique Luzaide got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 34th play minute Silvio Rio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Manuel Luke. 1-0. Independiente's Rene Onbera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Domenec in the 40th minute of play. Santo Firmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Anastasio Guillelme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C CONCORDIA RIOIV the free kick. After 46 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Guillelme.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remigio Cuartio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcial Innocenzio struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Rene Onbera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C CONCORDIA RIOIV. Manuel Luke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Cuartio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Rio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Luke having to make a save. In the 59th minute of the match Elias Gines shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Luke showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in F.C CONCORDIA RIOIV's zone, Silvio Rio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Luke came out of the goal and Silvio Rio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 played minutes F.C CONCORDIA RIOIV got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Roano. Silvio Rio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Luke having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Rene Onbera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ariel Domenec. After a defensive mix-up in F.C CONCORDIA RIOIV's zone, Remigio Cuartio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Luke came out of the goal and Remigio Cuartio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Silvio Rio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Rio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Luke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvio Rio scored 2-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Luke, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Independiente's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
