David Giraldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iván De la Peña made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 7thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but David Giraldo would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The Victor F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Victor F.C.'s Iván De la Peña looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Jose Aimar sped through Boca Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of David Giraldo. Iván De la Peña scored 4-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Giraldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Jose Aimar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. David Giraldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 21 minutes of play, Victor F.C.'s Ambrosio Jaunti made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Giraldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Giraldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iván De la Peña went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Victor F.C.'s Ambrosio Jaunti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 9-0. David Giraldo made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Iván De la Peña sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute, Jose Aimar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Giraldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0.

The wind increased when Ambrosio Jaunti made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jose Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Jose Aimar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Giraldo. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jose Aimar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. After a rather tough play, Victor F.C.'s Nestor Nahia got a free kick in the 60th minute. David Giraldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ambrosio Jaunti went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 15-0 was the resulting score. Boca Juniors's David Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván De la Peña in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Victor F.C. booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Bernad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Ambrosio Jaunti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Giraldo. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Giraldo should have stopped the shot. Boca Juniors's David Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván De la Peña in the 94th minute of play. David Giraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iván De la Peña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anacleto Matro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Mancio having to interfere. There was no doubt that Victor F.C. were the better team. Victor F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
