The referee ignored las pesadillas's protests and gave Ruben Fagildo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to las pesadillas getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ruben Fagildo hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Jairo Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Regis came free, but David Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Blas Galtero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Sergio Inguma shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Giraldo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Javier Che put in a rough tackle. In the 21st minute, Javier Che hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boca Juniors's David Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Chinto in the 25th minute of play. Remigio Bernad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Benigno Gurutz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Jairo Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, las pesadillas's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Bernad came free, but Benigno Gurutz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benigno Gurutz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remigio Bernad in the 44th minute.

The wind increased when Cristobal Regis made the kick off in the second half. Boca Juniors's Jairo Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benigno Gurutz came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Remigio Bernad. But to his dismay, Remigio Bernad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Remigio Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anacleto Matro kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's David Giraldo got control of the ball when Godofredo Dunixi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Severo Marz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. las pesadillas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Marz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Matro to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Bernad. After 92nd play minutes Remigio Bernad shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Benigno Gurutz and just under the crossbar into goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Boca Juniors had played much better football throughout.
