With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Abajas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, Bastadebufoneria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Montrel came free, but Hugo Abajas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match, Alberto Silvino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hipolito Balendin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Rayman during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cangrejillos booed when Bastadebufoneria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Rayman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Agustin Montrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Abajas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 22nd minute of the match Casimiro Rayman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Casimiro Rayman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Cangrejillos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Montrel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Nesor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Abelardo Nesor came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Cangrejillos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Nesor couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Abelardo Nesor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cangrejillos's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Nesor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Abajas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abelardo Nesor struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Hugo Abajas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cangrejillos.
