But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Lesardo couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Cecilio Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodolfo Dalmau was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Teneme El Nene F.C's Aaron Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Lesardo in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marea Roja's Marcelo Sandalio got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Ismael Lesardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Lorenzo Henry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aaron Gonzalez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 32 minutes into the match, Marea Roja's goalkeeper Julio Theobald had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Patrido. Marea Roja's Julio Theobald proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Marea Roja from getting a goal against them. Teneme El Nene F.C's Aurelio Patrido got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Teneme El Nene F.C's zone, Ismael Lesardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Gonzalez came out of the goal and Ismael Lesardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ismael Lesardo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Aaron Gonzalez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marea Roja.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgilio Pes made a kick off. Aurelio Patrido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ismael Lesardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 minutes, Cecilio Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Teneme El Nene F.C and the Marea Roja players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Teneme El Nene F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Teneme El Nene F.C's Aurelio Patrido got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erubiel Dorio got free with Aaron Gonzalez in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Marea Roja's zone, Aurelio Patrido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Theobald came out of the goal and Aurelio Patrido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Virgilio Pes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgilio Pes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Theobald having to interfere. The Marea Roja players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
