CA Vélez Sársfield's Basilio Umea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Marquez in the 19th minute of play. Big Tigers's Federico Etxatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Orland in the 24th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Big Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Berriotxoa to maneuver through the defense. Jeronimo Ezkerra, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Damaso Orland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Etxatxu having to interfere. Severo Hibai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Umea having to interfere. Damaso Orland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelino Truylos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Umea having to interfere. Silvio Egoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Big Tigers's Federico Etxatxu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Big Tigers from getting a goal against them. Damaso Orland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Federico Etxatxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvio Egoitz succeeded in the game's 86th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. If Eugenio Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Umea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Truylos in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Silvio Egoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 99 minutes into the game, Gaston Macias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA Vélez Sársfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Big Tigers the free kick. After 99 played minutes CA Vélez Sársfield got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Macias. The CA Vélez Sársfield players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Big Tigers from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
