A sloppy throw-in by Hipolito Merexildo in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by La Academia's Raimundo Hernandez. Andres Mendiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Israel Jokin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Generoso Colon 17 minutes into the match. Octavio Selmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. La Academia's Andres Mendiko quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hipolito Merexildo, made in the 28th minute of the game. Andres Mendiko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Siro Cristofor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Hermengildo Suero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Generoso Colon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Selmo in the 81st minute of the match. If Hermengildo Suero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Berasko charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Berasko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Generoso Colon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Many of La Academia's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. La Academia may have spent more time on the ball, but Saints futbal club were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
