In the 38th minute, Primitivo Mitxaut ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adolfo Gaskon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lázaro Lawrence charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lázaro Lawrence the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes DX FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Txordon. The C.A. Platense players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DX FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Primitivo Mitxaut to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Platense's zone, Primitivo Mitxaut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Gaskon came out of the goal and Primitivo Mitxaut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Primitivo Mitxaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. DX FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Mitxaut was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Gaskon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adolfo Gaskon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efrain Nafarroa in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Primitivo Mitxaut managed to get in a good position for a shot. DX FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Mitxaut was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Gaskon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hipolito Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Platense fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. DX FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
