Soldados de Caruso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Rubio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 minutes of play, Soldados de Caruso's Everardo Savier made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonides Berbiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 17 minutes into the match, Soldados de Caruso's goalkeeper Fabio Tancredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Lucero. The crowd rose to their feet as El Prado es Boca's Ubaldo Arnas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Tancredo. That made the score 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. In the 23rd match minute, El Prado es Boca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Arnas to maneuver through the defense. Soldados de Caruso's Fabio Tancredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Arnas in the 25th minute of play. With his leg Fabio Tancredo managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when El Prado es Boca's Abel Lucero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Everardo Savier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonides Berbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Savier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaldo Arnas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Tancredo having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Soldados de Caruso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Fliz to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Ubaldo Arnas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everardo Savier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ubaldo Arnas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 69th match minute, Soldados de Caruso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Roderigo to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Tancredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Arnas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florencio Timo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. If Everardo Savier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. Everardo Savier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Berbiz having to interfere. If Celedonio Rubio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Everardo Savier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soldados de Caruso's supporters rose to their feet, but Everardo Savier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Berbiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonides Berbiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Rubio in the 92nd minute. Everardo Savier might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonides Berbiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Everardo Savier ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Dayam in the 97th minute of play forced Soldados de Caruso's goalkeeper Fabio Tancredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
