With a little luck, Club Independiente Pigüé's Romeo Ritchie got control of the ball when Julio Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Ritchie came out of the goal and Julio Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 minutes of play, Club Independiente Pigüé's Joel Kimetz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Rivero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Kimetz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Rivero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Club Independiente Pigüé booed when Medinas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Rencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Kimetz struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Marcial Rivero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Independiente Pigüé. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celso Ticho during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Medinas AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Celso Ticho hit a great ball. In the 40th minute of the match Eustaquio Jordy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcial Rivero skillfully saved the ball. Marcial Rivero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Sabino in the 44th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Kimetz to strike the kick off in the second half. Romeo Ritchie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Saul Errapel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Romeo Ritchie. 1-2. Marcial Rivero made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Joel Kimetz sent off a good shot on target. After 67 played minutes, Medinas AFC's Moises Bero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Romeo Ritchie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Medinas AFC reached it. After some careless play in the Medinas AFC defense, Javier Sabino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcial Rivero. The Medinas AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Rivero should have stopped the shot. The Medinas AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Independiente Pigüé were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
