Joel Afonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Reta booed when Mussi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Cucao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reta's Anselmo Quin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Ralondo in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Mussi getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Anastasio Lugo hit a great ball. Joel Afonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Godoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Haitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Joel Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Leo Kimetz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Joel Afonso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silverio Godoy showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 89 minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Reta's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Joanes came free, but Anselmo Quin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Ubaldo Joanes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mussi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. The Reta players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mussi from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
