Natalio Virila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Calvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natalio Virila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Sayveon in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Calvino in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natalio Virila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Leonardo getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jeronimo Elorri hit a great ball. Reynaldo Gau's late challenge caught a Se lesionó Gago FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Gau helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Se lesionó Gago FC booed when Leonardo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Gau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Patricio Pero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natalio Virila showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juan Calvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Virila having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Sayveon got free with Natalio Virila in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 43 played minutes Leonardo got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Elorri. Placido Edorta hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Calvino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jeremias Umea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leonardo's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Umea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Huang Lin Fan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Evaristo Iigo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Leonardo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Iigo couldn't finish the play. Victor Sayveon scored 1-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Virila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute, Se lesionó Gago FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Evaristo Iigo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Se lesionó Gago FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
