Emanuel Medina struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Hector Odol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Talleres. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper Arsenio Gaitano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Igor Sal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Sal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arsenio Gaitano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Ugutz came free, but Arsenio Gaitano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independiente's Iker Ugutz got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arsenio Gaitano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iker Ugutz's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Arsenio Gaitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Sal in the 28th minute of the match. When Norberto Napier fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Talleres's protests and gave Norberto Napier a yellow card for diving instead. Emiliano Petri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Iker Ugutz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arsenio Gaitano. That made the score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Club Atlético Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Urre to maneuver through the defense. Ubaldo Honesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Iker Ugutz made the kick off in the second half. Arsenio Gaitano came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Aquilino Oso. But to his dismay, Aquilino Oso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Independiente's Aquilino Oso got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arsenio Gaitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Corderro in the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Ugutz in the 60th minute of play forced Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper Arsenio Gaitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Ugutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Gaitano having to interfere. Emiliano Petri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Emiliano Petri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arsenio Gaitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Sal in the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Emiliano Petri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Petri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Atlético Talleres's Arsenio Gaitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Ugutz in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Club Atlético Talleres getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Cornelio Quilino hit a great ball. Emiliano Petri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arsenio Gaitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iker Ugutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. A collision led to Club Atlético Talleres getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Justo Balesio hit a great ball. In the 90th minute of the match Independiente got a corner. Club Atlético Talleres's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emiliano Petri ran over to the corner to take the kick. Igor Sal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Gaitano having to interfere. Ubaldo Honesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Independiente players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
