The goalkeeper, Hector Odol, was totally fooled by Chacarita FC's Godofredo Ramos, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Independiente's Hector Odol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Chacarita FC's Godofredo Ramos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Vito got free with Hector Odol in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 20 minutes, Domingos Leocadio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacarita FC and the Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Chacarita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Leocadio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Independiente booed when Chacarita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Mosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Petri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Igor Sal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Independiente's Hector Odol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Godofredo Ramos to make the kick off. A hard shot by Emiliano Petri from long distance, 52 minutes into the match, got Cipriano Mosen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cipriano Mosen was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Iker Ugutz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iker Ugutz really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. Aquilino Oso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Cipriano Mosen made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Independiente's Cipriano Mosen threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iker Ugutz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chacarita FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick.
