Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lisandro Lano started the match with the kick off. Ovidio Bermund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Odilon in the 9th minute of play. Los Caraduras F.C's Ovidio Bermund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Goi in the 13th minute of play. Lisandro Lano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfonso Lauren came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Caraduras F.C's Lázaro Valente. But to his dismay, Lázaro Valente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Silvano Lapurdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Caraduras F.C's Ovidio Bermund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Goi in the 24th minute of play. Ovidio Bermund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Godoy in the 25th minute of play. Ovidio Bermund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Odilon, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Hilario Goi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidio Bermund having to make a save. Ovidio Bermund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Odilon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lázaro Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Lisandro Lano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Caraduras F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Lisandro Lano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Lauren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Silvestre Godoy hit a great ball. Alfonso Lauren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Valente in the 40th minute. Hilario Goi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Lázaro Valente might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfonso Lauren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lázaro Valente ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th minute, Hilario Goi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Bermund was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Los Caraduras F.C's Ovidio Bermund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Los Caraduras F.C from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Diablos Rojos's zone, Lázaro Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Lauren came out of the goal and Lázaro Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lázaro Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute Hilario Goi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Bermund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute Silvestre Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Bermund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes Diablos Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Godoy. After having played for 86 minutes, Elias Sotil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Caraduras F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Sotil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Diablos Rojos were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Los Caraduras F.C side.
