In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pico Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Gino Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Rivero in the 13th minute of play forced Real Palermo's goalkeeper Vinicio Cristofol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Baraquiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Iztal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Marco Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Rivero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Cristofol having to interfere. Marco Frasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vinicio Cristofol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Frasco ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Real Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Rivero came free, but Vinicio Cristofol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Rivero, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Vinicio Cristofol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Rivero's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. If Marco Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eulalio Theodore kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amancio Baraquiel made a kick off. Niceto Breogan hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Gino Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Mateus, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Aurelio Enaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Real Palermo's Vinicio Cristofol got control of the ball when Marco Frasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jairo Suero kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Gino Santana came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Palermo's Amancio Baraquiel. But to his dismay, Amancio Baraquiel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 82nd minute Amancio Baraquiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Baraquiel in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 minutes, Amancio Baraquiel made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pico Fútbol Club's Gino Santana tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Real Palermo's Vinicio Cristofol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Rivero in the 94th minute of play. Gino Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Mateus, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Real Palermo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
