The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Celedonio Mikelats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celedonio Mikelats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Cosme Amaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Vantarck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Poz to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Arana were awarded a corner. Miguel Barea went to the cornerflag to take it. Vantarck's Felipe Kemen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Vantarck from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Elia in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felipe Kemen saved Vantarck from getting behind. Maximino Stephen kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 24 played minutes, Arana's Miguel Barea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felipe Kemen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arana reached it. In the 28th minute Celso Elia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Kemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Vantarck getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Maximino Stephen hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vantarck's zone, Celso Elia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Kemen came out of the goal and Celso Elia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Celso Elia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Elia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Arana defense, Celedonio Mikelats kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosme Amaya. The Arana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosme Amaya should have stopped the shot. Celso Elia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felipe Kemen came out and tried to block the shot, but Celso Elia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 43rd minute.

The wind increased when Celso Elia made the kick off in the second half. Felipe Kemen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Elia, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Arana's Cosme Amaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Arana from getting a goal against them. Celedonio Mikelats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Amaya having to interfere. When Celso Elia came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Arana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Elia couldn't finish the play. When Clemente Ermengol fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vantarck's protests and gave Clemente Ermengol a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Vantarck defense, Inocencio Raymundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felipe Kemen. The Vantarck fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felipe Kemen should have stopped the shot. Inocencio Raymundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe Kemen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Celso Elia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arana's Celso Elia got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
