The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Arana booed when Los de Siempre f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Paez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los de Siempre f.c.'s zone, Celso Elia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Sayveon came out of the goal and Celso Elia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugenio Oskarbi struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Cosme Amaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los de Siempre f.c.. Inocencio Raymundo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Isidro Sayveon made a huge save. In the 22nd minute Arana were awarded a corner. Miguel Barea went to the cornerflag to take it. Arana's Miguel Barea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Isidro Sayveon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cosme Amaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Paez in the 28th minute of play. Eugenio Oskarbi might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Amaya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Oskarbi ran back to his position shaking his head. If Celso Elia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Amaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Paez in the 35th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeronimo Paez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes, Arana's German Cerilo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Isidro Sayveon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arana reached it. After 53 played minutes Los de Siempre f.c. got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Etor. Inocencio Raymundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Sayveon having to interfere. Inocencio Raymundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Raymundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Sayveon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 68 minutes Arana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elvio Lizbeth who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Los de Siempre f.c.'s Elvio Lizbeth to fire away a dangerous shot which Cosme Amaya despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 70th minute, Jeronimo Paez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Arana's Miguel Barea got a free kick in the 74th minute. Jeronimo Paez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Amaya having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, Los de Siempre f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Gabino to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Elia in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidro Sayveon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jeronimo Paez came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Los de Siempre f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Paez couldn't finish the play. Angelo Etor hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Inocencio Raymundo took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidro Sayveon. Isidro Sayveon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 96 minutes into the game, one of Arana:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Cosme Amaya, was totally fooled by Los de Siempre f.c.'s Elvio Lizbeth, who 98 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
