If Filiberto Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Johans struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Cosme Amaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guido. Melquiades Fliz scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cosme Amaya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Fliz in the 16th minute of play forced Arana's goalkeeper Cosme Amaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arana's Cosme Amaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Johans in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Arana's zone, Melquiades Fliz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosme Amaya came out of the goal and Melquiades Fliz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosme Amaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Johans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Johans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Arana's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Johans came free, but Cosme Amaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. German Cerilo charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed German Cerilo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, one of Arana:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Arana.

The wind increased when Celso Elia made the kick off in the second half. Inocencio Raymundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Wincent Frodyma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Fliz might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Amaya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Melquiades Fliz ran back to his position shaking his head. Melquiades Fliz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melquiades Fliz succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5. 71 minutes into the game, Bernabe Segio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guido's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arana the free kick. Bernabe Segio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Celso Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luciano Johans fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guido's protests and gave Luciano Johans a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Guido's Martin Olentzaro got a free kick in the 81st minute. Cosme Amaya made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Melquiades Fliz sent off a good shot on target. Luciano Johans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 89 minutes, Melquiades Fliz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Fliz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luciano Johans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Amaya having to interfere. Guido's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
