SALERNITANA's Lisandro Naike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Santo in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Isusko in the 26th minute of play forced SALERNITANA's goalkeeper Lisandro Naike to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Viator stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cosme Louis's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Gavino Pereyra could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Gustavo Viator however easily saved by the left post. Irigoyen FC's Gustavo Viator proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Irigoyen FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 39 minutes, Cosme Louis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SALERNITANA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosme Louis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaac Isusko made a kick off. The supporters of Irigoyen FC booed when SALERNITANA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Hulberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 played minutes Irigoyen FC got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Bartuelo. After a rather tough play, Irigoyen FC's Sergio Bartuelo got a free kick in the 60th minute. Danilo Santo in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
