Spectators: 7258 (Terracing: 5445, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Humberto Cidro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Maximino Astrada could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Severo Jacob however easily saved by the left post. After 5 minutes, Rosendo Fidele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vaqueteros FC and the Monte FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Vaqueteros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Fidele to maneuver through the defense. Arnulfo Jordy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vaqueteros FC's Severo Jacob proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Vaqueteros FC from getting a goal against them. Arnulfo Jordy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Jacob having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Humberto Cidro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaqueteros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Cidro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Vaqueteros FC's Florentino Lucero got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 29th play minute Maximino Astrada came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Severo Jacob. 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Vaqueteros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Jordy came free, but Severo Jacob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Cidro scored 2-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Giro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Adrian Figueroa notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Monte FC's Benjamin Giro. Benjamin Giro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adrian Figueroa might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Giro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Figueroa ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnulfo Jordy was the one to do the kick off. Severo Jacob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Jordy in the 52nd minute of the match. Severo Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Jordy in the 55th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Vaqueteros FC got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Paez. In the 61st minute, Humberto Cidro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 62 played minutes Vaqueteros FC got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Afonso. Maximino Astrada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Jacob having to interfere. Maximino Astrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Severo Jacob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severo Jacob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Jordy, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Filomeno Iratxo fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vaqueteros FC's protests and gave Filomeno Iratxo a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Vaqueteros FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Monte FC:s goal. Bernabe Roldan walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Adrian Figueroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Giro having to interfere. When Humberto Cidro came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Vaqueteros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Cidro couldn't finish the play. Maximino Astrada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto Cidro hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anibal Afonso got free with Benjamin Giro in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monte FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Giro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Vaqueteros FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
