After 21 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Hitzeder. Alfonso Javiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Oxarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Potrerillos defense, Damaso Lalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvio Cristofor. The Potrerillos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvio Cristofor should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Damaso Lalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Damaso Lalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Cristofor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elvio Cristofor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Llope's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Elvio Cristofor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damaso Lalla in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Llope was the one to do the kick off.
