When Astor Suarez fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Arco C.D. Villa Gesell's protests and gave Astor Suarez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Astor Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaberto Gaitan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Siro Cai's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Astor Suarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Federico Araoz made a huge save. After some careless play in the El Arco C.D. Villa Gesell defense, Siro Cai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Gaitan. The El Arco C.D. Villa Gesell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Gaitan should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the game, El Arco C.D. Villa Gesell's Jose Bela nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Federico Araoz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Federico Araoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Suarez in the 36th minute of the match. Honorato Iturri hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Federico Araoz came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by El Arco C.D. Villa Gesell's Joaquin Rufio. But to his dismay, Joaquin Rufio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After 47 played minutes, Ñorquín's Domingos Gombal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guaberto Gaitan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ñorquín reached it. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jose Bela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Federico Araoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Honorato Iturri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ñorquín's Amancio Gipuzkoa got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jose Bela came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the El Arco C.D. Villa Gesell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Bela couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Joaquin Rufio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Arco C.D. Villa Gesell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Federico Araoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Bela in the 67th minute of play. Jairo Iliana charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Iliana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jose Bela in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Federico Araoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Siro Cai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Gaitan having to interfere. Federico Araoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Rufio, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Bela in the 82nd minute of play forced Ñorquín's goalkeeper Federico Araoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Cai during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ñorquín getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Siro Cai hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Jose Bela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Araoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Arco C.D. Villa Gesell were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
