Maximino Pirro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Arlo in the 16th minute of play. If Celso Vistruario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Higinio Kaxen fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paternal FC's protests and gave Higinio Kaxen a yellow card for diving instead. Higinio Kaxen hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Excelxion getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gervasio Suero hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Teobaldo Ruisko sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Excelxion's Ermegildo Formerio didn't even have to move. Fausto Millan might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximino Pirro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Millan ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Excelxion booed when Paternal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Marino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paternal FC's Maximino Pirro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Arlo in the 39th minute of play. Fausto Millan in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Maximino Pirro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Ricardo Arlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Excelxion's Ricardo Arlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximino Pirro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 91 played minutes, Excelxion's Faustino Roano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximino Pirro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Excelxion reached it. 96 minutes into the game, Primitivo Celipe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Maximino Pirro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
