The referee showed Fabio Eneto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Sportivo Veletas got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Eneto. In the 10th minute, Chacarita's Anibal Sol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kurtuluş Cansun. Kurtuluş Cansun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Chacarita's Oscar Refugio got a free kick in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Veletas's zone, Jose Sandaili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurtuluş Cansun came out of the goal and Jose Sandaili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabio Eneto made in the 21st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Amador Rodriguez. In the 28th minute, Ermegildo Breogan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erasmo Charro took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godofredo Maldonado. Godofredo Maldonado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedicto Eate got free with Kurtuluş Cansun in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sportivo Veletas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benedicto Eate was slow to take the kick. During this time Chacarita's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Chacarita's Benedicto Eate to fire away a dangerous shot which Kurtuluş Cansun despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Chacarita's Godofredo Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Benino in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anibal Sol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Chacarita's Oscar Refugio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Blas Elivareo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Anibal Sol notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sportivo Veletas's Kurtuluş Cansun. Kurtuluş Cansun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chacarita's Jose Sandaili pulled a muscle in his back after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 67th minute of the match Fabio Eneto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fabio Eneto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Chacarita's Eulalio Fernado was substituted for Jose Sandaili. A collision led to Sportivo Veletas getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Fabio Eneto hit a great ball. Anibal Sol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurtuluş Cansun having to interfere. With a little luck, Chacarita's Godofredo Maldonado got control of the ball when Amadeo Cresenciano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Confesor hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A collision led to Chacarita getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Oscar Refugio hit a great ball. When Anibal Sol came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Chacarita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Sol couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the game, Chacarita's Benedicto Eate nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kurtuluş Cansun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After some careless play in the Chacarita defense, Mariano Confesor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godofredo Maldonado. The Chacarita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godofredo Maldonado should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Chacarita could leave the field as winners, despite Sportivo Veletas having more of the ball for most of the match.
