The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adrian Emeterio's late challenge caught a Poma AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Emeterio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd minute, Adrian Emeterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute Domingo Pudes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Poma AFC's Desiderio Abreu got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 6th minute, Enrique Liher reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adolfo Cai. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Eliu in the 9th minute of play forced Fortuna's goalkeeper Artemio Confesor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Adrian Emeterio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Cai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Seme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Adolfo Cai made a huge save. 19 minutes into the match, Poma AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Liher came free, but Adolfo Cai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Seme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Cai having to interfere. Santo Eliu kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Vicente Seme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortuna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Seme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adolfo Cai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Liher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Poma AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Enrique Liher scored to the left of an out of position Adolfo Cai, making the score, 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Eliu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Prudencio Euloxu took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adolfo Cai. Adolfo Cai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Adolfo Cai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Seme in the 58th minute of the match. After 60 minutes of play Poma AFC's Laureano Naelio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Cai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Poma AFC's Adolfo Cai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Liher in the 80th minute of play. Leonardo Mincho hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of Poma AFC booed when Fortuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Mincho didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Poma AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Santo Eliu hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fortuna had played much better football throughout.
