In the 5th minute Miguel Gizon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Cai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Laureano Naelio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poma AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PabloFC the free kick. Laureano Naelio hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Adolfo Cai made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Zeledon Fernanco sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Zeledon Fernanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 played minutes, Poma AFC's Jeremias Vachon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiburcio Ondino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Poma AFC reached it. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Poma AFC's goalkeeper Adolfo Cai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiburcio Ondino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Osorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Osorio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiburcio Ondino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. If Laureano Naelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santo Eliu to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to PabloFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Zeledon Romo hit a great ball. If Santo Eliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, PabloFC's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Eliu came free, but Tiburcio Ondino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Tiburcio Ondino managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Poma AFC's Jacobo Osorio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adolfo Cai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Gizon in the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Santo Eliu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poma AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Eliu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the PabloFC defense, Jacobo Osorio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiburcio Ondino. The PabloFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Ondino should have stopped the shot. Adolfo Cai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Gizon, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Tiburcio Ondino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacobo Osorio in the 79th minute. Tiburcio Ondino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Eliu in the 84th minute of play. Miguel Gizon struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Adolfo Cai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PabloFC. 97 minutes into the match, PabloFC's Zeledon Fernanco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Cai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. PabloFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
