The Ciénaga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Pacifico should have stopped the shot. The Dúrham FC fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Dúrham FC's Teobaldo Semeno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th minute Teobaldo Semeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Pacifico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, David Oriol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dúrham FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Rolando Osasun's late challenge caught a Dúrham FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With his leg Simon Pacifico managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Dúrham FC's David Oriol fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dúrham FC's Cleto Txaran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Tuste in the 82nd minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Ciénaga's Patricio Tuste sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cleto Txaran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Dúrham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Tuste came free, but Cleto Txaran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dúrham FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
