Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marciano Mingo started the match with the kick off. Ovidio Cordarell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Benedicto Diaz made a huge save. The supporters of Guzmán booed when Alsina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Lugo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Guzmán's Benedicto Diaz threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marciano Mingo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 8 minutes Alsina FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Javier Elodio who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Javier Elodio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benedicto Diaz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Benedicto Diaz came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Guzmán's Ovidio Cordarell. But to his dismay, Ovidio Cordarell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ovidio Cordarell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alsina FC's zone, Marciano Mingo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedicto Diaz came out of the goal and Marciano Mingo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fidel Distiratsu kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Gustavo Guzman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alsina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Guzman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luisito Txanton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Aguirre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute of the match Javier Elodio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benedicto Diaz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidio Cordarell got free with Benedicto Diaz in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Marciano Mingo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Diaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Mingo in the 45th minute of the match. Ovidio Cordarells short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Benedicto Diaz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After a rather tough play, Guzmán's Aquilino Katia got a free kick in the 54th minute. Alsina FC's Benedicto Diaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Cordarell in the 57th minute of play. Marciano Mingo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedicto Diaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Benedicto Diaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Katia, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Benedicto Diaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Mingo in the 66th minute of play. Gustavo Guzman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Txanton having to interfere. When Aquilino Katia fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guzmán's protests and gave Aquilino Katia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Alsina FC booed when Guzmán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Katia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisito Txanton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Primitivo Aguirre's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute of the match, Primitivo Aguirre tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luisito Txanton saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Guzmán's Ovidio Cordarell got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luisito Txanton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Aguirre in the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Alsina FC's Jonas Orzaize got a free kick in the 94th minute. Marciano Mingo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ovidio Cordarell came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Guzmán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Cordarell couldn't finish the play. Guzmán's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
