Spectators: 7229 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo Panfilo started the match with the kick off. Guascan's Tobias Mero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Panfilo in the 5th minute of play. Tobias Mero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Panfilo in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Simon Basualdo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariano Maurin might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Argoitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Maurin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th match minute, Guascan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Raymon to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Panfilo in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobias Mero saved Guascan from getting behind. Feliciano Valiente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gilberto Argoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mariano Maurin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guascan's Cristian Ospetsu got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Feliciano Valiente's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gilberto Argoitz firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliciano Valiente got free with Gilberto Argoitz in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Paulo Panfilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliciano Valiente to make the kick off. Tobias Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Panfilo in the 53rd minute of play. Tobias Mero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Basualdo in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute Feliciano Valiente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Argoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Verdinegros San Juan's Gilberto Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Valiente in the 67th minute of play. Tobias Mero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Panfilo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute of the match, Humberto Torres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tobias Mero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 76 minutes of play, Verdinegros San Juan's Simon Basualdo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Mero was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute Paulo Panfilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Mero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Simon Basualdo made a precise shot to the right of Tobias Mero. Guascan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Tobias Mero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Panfilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Verdinegros San Juan's Paulo Panfilo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Verdinegros San Juan eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
