An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Sancho in the 17th minute of play forced A.C. Vigal's goalkeeper Basilio Montel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artemio Gartzen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grana FC's Mauricio Garin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Ponce in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Eleuterio Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Basilio Montel. A.C. Vigal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Grana FC's Artemio Gartzen managed to work through A.C. Vigal's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Artemio Gartzen dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 34 minutes, Paulino Lico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grana FC and the A.C. Vigal players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grana FC's Paulino Lico got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Eleuterio Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Montel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Montel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Gartzen in the 38th minute of play. Basilio Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Gartzen, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, A.C. Vigal's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Gartzen came free, but Basilio Montel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Artemio Gartzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vigal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Basilio Montel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 55th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leonardo Abad. 59 minutes into the match, Gaston Bastian notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Grana FC's Mauricio Garin. Mauricio Garin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 62 minutes, Pastor Lazcano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grana FC and the A.C. Vigal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pastor Lazcano kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Rodrigo Havier was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Gaston Bastian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Adolfo Ponce came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the A.C. Vigal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Ponce couldn't finish the play. Adolfo Ponce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Ponce in the 73rd minute of play forced Grana FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Garin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Eleuterio Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mauricio Garin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Gaztea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
