In the 7th minute, Guascan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Melquiades Nardo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Guascan defense, Elvio Tiso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Mero. The Guascan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Mero should have stopped the shot. If Melquiades Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Ospetsu struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Anastasio Arnau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guascan. Omar Ospin charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Ospin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Porco Rex FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Nardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Mero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melquiades Nardo made a kick off. Feliciano Valiente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Anastasio Arnau made a huge save. When Emanuel Bero came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Guascan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Bero couldn't finish the play. After having played for 60 minutes, Feliciano Valiente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guascan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliciano Valiente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeo Garcia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tobias Mero.
