SuzukiDirectos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Serafo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Joel Serafo came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the SuzukiDirectos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Serafo couldn't finish the play. If David Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Serafo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Gurutz having to interfere. Benigno Elizardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Azevedo in the 27th minute of play. David Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benigno Elizardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Gogo Gurutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Serafo in the 43rd minute of the match. Teobaldo Kismi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Benigno Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Ernesto Cebrian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SuzukiDirectos and the Belgrano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes SuzukiDirectos got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Cebrian. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Azevedo made a kick off. Baltasar Atarrabi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Belgrano FC's Gogo Gurutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Galtero in the 67th minute of play. Benigno Elizardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Kismi in the 69th minute of the match. If Joel Serafo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Belgrano FC defense, Joel Serafo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gogo Gurutz. The Belgrano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gogo Gurutz should have stopped the shot. Leopoldo Haitz's late challenge caught a SuzukiDirectos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Haitz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Belgrano FC's Leopoldo Haitz got a free kick in the 75th minute. 78 minutes in the game, Baltasar Atarrabi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gogo Gurutz having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Serafo got free with Gogo Gurutz in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of SuzukiDirectos booed when Belgrano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Polentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gogo Gurutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Atarrabi in the 82nd minute of play. If Baltasar Atarrabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes SuzukiDirectos got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Galtero. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Gogo Gurutz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Joel Serafo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Gogo Gurutz made a huge save. With an all-out effort, SuzukiDirectos's Gogo Gurutz threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Baltasar Atarrabi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. SuzukiDirectos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
