An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Fernado in the 12th minute of play forced Onzos's goalkeeper Wilfredo Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elias Senen came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Aguilar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Senen couldn't finish the play. Anacleto Fernado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Bastian having to interfere. Faustino Manuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Fidel Pes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Elias Senen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Segundo Natanael fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Onzos's protests and gave Segundo Natanael a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Onzos's Segundo Natanael got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Faustino Manuelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fidel Pes. Aguilar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Manuelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The long shot by Vladimiro Crispo in the 48th minute really tested Wilfredo Bastian's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Anacleto Fernado made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Onzos's zone, Elias Senen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Bastian came out of the goal and Elias Senen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anacleto Fernado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfredo Bastian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Anacleto Fernado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anacleto Fernado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustino Manuelo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Elias Senen came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Aguilar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Senen couldn't finish the play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Elias Senen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Onzos's Wilfredo Bastian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Elias Senen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aguilar's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Senen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Bastian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89thth minute of the game Elias Senen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Onzos's Wilfredo Bastian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Onzos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vladimiro Crispo was slow to take the kick. During this time Aguilar's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Aguilar's Bruno Fagildo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Onzos's goalkeeper Wilfredo Bastian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aguilar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
