Marcos Paublo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gervasio Prejun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Tabby in the 8th minute of play. When Roque Tabby came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Ghelfi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Tabby couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Gilberto Costante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ghelfi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Marcos Paublo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Abadie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Ghelfi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Abadie came free, but Marcos Paublo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonatan Bermund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Paublo having to interfere. Marcos Paublo made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Faustino Urbes sent off a good shot on target. Ghelfi FC's Marcos Paublo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Bermund in the 35th minute of play. Roque Tabby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 39 minutes on the clock, Amancio Dodorol commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 41st minute Aurelio Abadie managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Ghelfi FC's Roque Tabby got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gervasio Prejun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Tabby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roque Tabby stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcos Paublo came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Viamonte's Jonatan Bermund. But to his dismay, Jonatan Bermund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 65th minute Jonatan Bermund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Paublo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Ghelfi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Cordarrel came free, but Marcos Paublo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes Ghelfi FC got a freekick which was hit by Roque Tabby. Marcos Paublo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Cordarrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Domingo Juvenal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes Ghelfi FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Juvenal.
