Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luciano Paul kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosme Chago in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Godoy saved Subtrenmetrocleta from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia y Esgrima's zone, Leopoldo Bembe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Arnas came out of the goal and Leopoldo Bembe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Igor Balesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Chago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Godoy having to interfere. Gimnasia y Esgrima's Cosme Chago got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Subtrenmetrocleta booed when Gimnasia y Esgrima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Chago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Subtrenmetrocleta's Leopoldo Bembe got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Godoy was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Cosme Chago capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cosme Chago really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 45th minute, Leopoldo Bembe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cosme Chago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cosme Chago to strike the kick off in the second half. Maximo Llorian hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Cosme Chago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alfredo Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Subtrenmetrocleta's Samuel Herauso got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes, Luciano Paul mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Subtrenmetrocleta and the Gimnasia y Esgrima players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Subtrenmetrocleta got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Paul. Alfredo Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Chago in the 72nd minute of the match. During the 73rd minute of the match Luciano Paul completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Luciano Paul a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Cosme Chago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Gimnasia y Esgrima's Anibal Arnas got control of the ball when Leopoldo Bembe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gimnasia y Esgrima's Anibal Arnas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Bembe in the 90th minute of play. Cosme Chago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
