When Angelo Maule came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the TigreMatador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Maule couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute of the match Virgilio Reyes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Donzel skillfully saved the ball. Cornelio Donzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Phelipe in the 16th minute of play. Mauricio Joanes struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Cornelio Donzel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douglas Haig. Zeledon Maraman hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Constantino Phelipe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cornelio Donzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauricio Joanes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Mauricio Joanes made a precise shot to the right of Cornelio Donzel. TigreMatador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Mauricio Joanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Cornelio Donzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornelio Donzel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Joanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Delmar Esdras took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cornelio Donzel. TigreMatador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Mauricio Joanes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglas Haig's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Joanes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Donzel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Mauricio Joanes made the kick off in the second half. Cornelio Donzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Joanes in the 53rd minute of play. Israel Vargas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Fertus having to make a save. In the 57th minute, Angelo Maule got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cornelio Donzel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Generoso Ovando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 61 minute of play. TigreMatador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Mauricio Joanes scored to the left of an out of position Cornelio Donzel, making the score, 0-4. With a little luck, TigreMatador's Cornelio Donzel got control of the ball when Mauricio Joanes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute Douglas Haig were awarded a corner. Constantino Phelipe went to the cornerflag to take it. Constantino Phelipe made a great header on Douglas Haig's corner, it was just that TigreMatador's Cornelio Donzel managed to reach the ball for a save. Douglas Haig's Mauricio Joanes got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Albino Cordarin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TigreMatador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Douglas Haig the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of TigreMatador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Douglas Haig:s goal. Mauricio Joanes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Mauricio Joanes made a precise shot to the right of Cornelio Donzel. TigreMatador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. With a little luck, TigreMatador's Cornelio Donzel got control of the ball when Mauricio Joanes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mauricio Joanes scored 0-7 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelio Donzel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Douglas Haig left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than TigreMatador.
