With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvano Dino in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualterio Mede saved Olavarría AFC from getting behind. Silvano Dino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Mede having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Olavarría AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Ermengol to maneuver through the defense. Ranquilcó FC's Fernando Rosario got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cipriano Seber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Olavarría AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Dino came free, but Gualterio Mede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cipriano Seber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ranquilcó FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leandro Guzman was slow to take the kick. During this time Olavarría AFC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Olavarría AFC's corner Leandro Guzman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Domingos Eguerdi quite easily take care of the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Cipriano Seber recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Domingos Eguerdi. Cipriano Seber showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Domingos Eguerdi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cipriano Seber showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. Eulalio Nazario might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingos Eguerdi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eulalio Nazario ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Seber was the one to do the kick off. Domingos Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Seber in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Eulalio Nazario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 56 played minutes Ranquilcó FC got a freekick which was hit by Rene Quilo. The supporters of Olavarría AFC booed when Ranquilcó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Rosario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leandro Guzman, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Braulio Pasqual kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Ranquilcó FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Seber came free, but Domingos Eguerdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 69 minutes on the clock, Eustaquio Evis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ranquilcó FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Ranquilcó FC:s Domingos Eguerdi showed great skill when he stopped Leandro Guzman:s penalty. 73 minutes into the game, Rene Quilo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranquilcó FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olavarría AFC the free kick. Rene Quilo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Jesus Bibiano's late challenge caught a Olavarría AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesus Bibiano helped the player get up and apologised. Freddy Ermengol got his second yellow card in the match during the 79th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Olavarría AFC booed when Ranquilcó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Panpili didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualterio Mede showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Panpili in the 88th minute of the match. Aureliano Lluques charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aureliano Lluques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes Olavarría AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Lluques. In the 95th minute, Aureliano Lluques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Olavarría AFC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Cipriano Seber hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Olavarría AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ranquilcó FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
