Spectators: 7056 (Terracing: 5456, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ubaldo Balasi kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, LS Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Sanchez to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 6 minutes, Ubaldo Balasi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LS Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Balasi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teofilo Cedro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Balasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teofilo Cedro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Balasi in the 10th minute of the match. With a little luck, Estudiantes Rio IV's Teofilo Cedro got control of the ball when Octavio Suero tried to sneak it across the goal line. The LS Football Club fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when LS Football Club's Octavio Suero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes Rio IV's zone, Anselmo Sanchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Cedro came out of the goal and Anselmo Sanchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20 minutes of play LS Football Club's Anselmo Sanchez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Refugio in the 24th minute of play forced LS Football Club's goalkeeper Enrique Paez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Dalmacio Beturian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benigno Gomez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Octavio Suero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Teofilo Cedro made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Benigno Gomez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Paez was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After 42 played minutes LS Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Seguinus. Enrique Paez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Placido Refugio went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benigno Gomez to strike the kick off in the second half. Benigno Gomez's late challenge caught a LS Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benigno Gomez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes Rio IV's Benigno Gomez got a free kick in the 58th minute. Placido Refugio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Enrique Paez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Suero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teofilo Cedro having to make a save. If Octavio Suero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Placido Refugio got free with Enrique Paez in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Placido Refugio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Enrique Paez made a huge save. When Ubaldo Balasi fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LS Football Club's protests and gave Ubaldo Balasi a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes LS Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Balasi. Benigno Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Octavio Suero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LS Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Teofilo Cedro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Suero, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With his leg Enrique Paez managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Estudiantes Rio IV's Placido Refugio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. LS Football Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
