Esparta's Emiliano Gitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Gines in the 22nd minute of play. Zeledon Nayely in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ramiro Gaztea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Esparta's zone, David Gines stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Gitano came out of the goal and David Gines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Arnau in the 28th minute of play forced Esparta's goalkeeper Emiliano Gitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Esparta's zone, Teo Arnau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Gitano came out of the goal and Teo Arnau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Esparta defense, David Gines kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Gitano. The Esparta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Gitano should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Esparta booed when Casablanca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Montrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teo Arnau was the one to do the kick off. David Gines made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 56thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Emiliano Gitano would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 60th minute, Jesus Elia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If David Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Aldo Iraunkor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiliano Gitano. That made the score 0-2 in the 68 minute of play. David Gines was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Casablanca FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. David Gines's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Emiliano Gitano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 77th minute, David Gines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Casablanca FC's Ramiro Gaztea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Nayely in the 84th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Teo Arnau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 93 played minutes Esparta got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Elodio. Teo Arnau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, David Gines had to leave the field with a concussion. When Aquiles Ixona fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esparta's protests and gave Aquiles Ixona a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th minute, Aquiles Ixona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Esparta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Casablanca FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
