Marcelo Chuan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flavio Illart. Nogolí's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 7th minute Paolo Hanni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Illart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Urbano Eudoxio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alejo Filipo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horacio Primeiro's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Aldo Sidoro charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Sidoro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Cristo Jorrin from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Alejo Filipo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Alejo Filipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Primeiro in the 19th minute of play. Rosendo Quintin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Alejo Filipo made a huge save. Cienaguita FC's Paolo Hanni got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 played minutes Nogolí got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Quintin. The audience was convinced that Paolo Hanni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Illart was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 36 minutes into the match, Cienaguita FC's Paolo Hanni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Illart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 39 minutes of play Cienaguita FC's Aldo Sidoro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Rosendo Quintin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alejo Filipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Braulio Belarmo during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cienaguita FC's Alejo Filipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Primeiro in the 55th minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Nogolí's Cristo Jorrin tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 62nd match minute, Nogolí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Primeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th match minute, Nogolí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Mirande to maneuver through the defense. Rosendo Quintin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alejo Filipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91stth minute of the game Rosendo Quintin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cienaguita FC's Alejo Filipo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alejo Filipo came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Nogolí's Braulio Belarmo. But to his dismay, Braulio Belarmo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nogolí had won after a very even match.
