The referee ignored sabalero's protests and gave Patricio Naelio a yellow card for diving instead. Patricio Naelio hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The supporters of sabalero booed when TORQUAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Montrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, sabalero's Denis Mannie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteve Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Firmin in the 40th minute of play forced sabalero's goalkeeper Blas Theobald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Theobald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Bortzaioriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basilio Bortzaioriz in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blas Theobald prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

TORQUAY's Esteve Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Mannie in the 60th minute of play. Denis Mannie struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Esteve Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sabalero. Esteve Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Mannie, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Esteve Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Rubio's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Mannie in the 79th minute of play forced TORQUAY's goalkeeper Esteve Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteve Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Mannie in the 98th minute of play. The TORQUAY players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
