Alejandro Gitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Javiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Filomeno Malvin came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Chapu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Malvin couldn't finish the play. Alejandro Gitano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Erlantz in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chapu FC's Elvio Inguma got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Chapu FC's Filomeno Tiadoro in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alumni Futbol Club's goalie prevented a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Lucio Barrionuevo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alejandro Gitano, 1-2. Filomeno Tiadoro might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogelio Bakar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filomeno Tiadoro ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Chapu FC booed when Alumni Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Rayman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filomeno Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rogelio Bakar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filomeno Tiadoro struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Rogelio Bakar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapu FC. Chapu FC's Elvio Inguma suffered a sore thigh after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Santo Iruinea scored 1-3 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rogelio Bakar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filomeno Tiadoro in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogelio Bakar saved Alumni Futbol Club from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Alumni Futbol Club's zone, Filomeno Tiadoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Bakar came out of the goal and Filomeno Tiadoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filomeno Tiadoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 67 minutes, Jorge Erlantz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alumni Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Erlantz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgilio Maule charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgilio Maule the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Chapu FC's Virgilio Maule got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Celedonio Sayveon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alejandro Gitano. Chapu FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Armando Ponc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Bakar having to interfere. If Santo Iruinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 minutes of play, Chapu FC's Armando Ponc made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogelio Bakar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chapu FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
