Armando Eli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Mogel made a huge save. In the 18th minute, Armando Eli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tumberos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Augusto Martino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leopoldo Mogel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Martino's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquiles Urtungo was the one to do the kick off.
