The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Palermo FC's Jeronimo Mantzio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Orlin in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palermo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cornelio Frasquito was slow to take the kick. During this time Bañado AFC's players had a chance to rest. After 9 played minutes Bañado AFC got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Patrido. After some careless play in the Palermo FC defense, Uriel Patrido kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeronimo Mantzio. The Palermo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeronimo Mantzio should have stopped the shot. Uriel Patrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Mantzio having to interfere. Palermo FC's Jeronimo Mantzio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Patrido in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Lino Orlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bañado AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Orlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ubaldo Tome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Tulio having to interfere. Uriel Patrido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Palermo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Patrido came free, but Jeronimo Mantzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Palermo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bañado AFC were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Javier Ondino made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Bañado AFC's Uriel Patrido ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeronimo Mantzio. Jeronimo Mantzio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 59 minutes into the match, Javier Ondino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Tulio. Bañado AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Javier Ondino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Uriel Patrido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bañado AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Uriel Patrido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeronimo Mantzio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Palermo FC's Jeronimo Mantzio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Palermo FC from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes into the match, Bañado AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Ondino came free, but Bernardo Tulio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Uriel Patrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Ciano kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Bañado AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bañado AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
