Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Igor Inge started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honorio Urritz in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erubiel Lesardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 4 minutes Sepultura FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Domingos Ourente who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Baltasar Odilon managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 7th minute, Amancio Araoz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erubiel Lesardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Honorio Urritz managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Urritz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erubiel Lesardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amancio Araoz got free with Erubiel Lesardo in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erubiel Lesardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Urritz in the 15th minute of play. Honorio Urritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Lesardo having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Laureano Leoncio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Igor Inge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Caradaro was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 24th minute, Jonas Calvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Inge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Cornelio Caradaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amancio Araoz charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amancio Araoz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sepultura FC booed when C.A. Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Araoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute Fulgencio Canor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Caradaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Calvino hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Sepultura FC were awarded a corner. Nicasio Aurre went to the cornerflag to take it. Marcelo Maria tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Cornelio Caradaro. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 41st minute. Honorio Urritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Erubiel Lesardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 53rd match minute, Sepultura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Rey to maneuver through the defense. If Fulgencio Canor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Canor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Caradaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Honorio Urritz charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Boca Juniors's Cornelio Caradaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. Cornelio Caradaro made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Fulgencio Canor sent off a good shot on target. When Laureano Leoncio came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the C.A. Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laureano Leoncio couldn't finish the play.
