Romeo Ofelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ubuntu defense, Edgardo Gamus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Ofelio. The Ubuntu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Ofelio should have stopped the shot. Melchor Dimo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zacarias Erauso to make the kick off. Ubuntu's Romeo Ofelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Dimo in the 53rd minute of play. Edgardo Gamus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Ofelio having to interfere. Romeo Ofelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Dimo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeo Ofelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Gamus in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Melchor Dimo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Ofelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ubuntu getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Celso Clis hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julio Cutberto during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ubuntu's goalkeeper Romeo Ofelio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
