Candido Ascencio kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Valendrada FC defense, Donald Merritt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Xabat. The Valendrada FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Xabat should have stopped the shot. If Erik Cantona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baudrix's Donald Merritt got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernabe Martino's late challenge caught a Valendrada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernabe Martino helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Valendrada FC booed when Baudrix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Martino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Rafael Alonso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but German Burgos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Baudrix's goalkeeper German Burgos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Stanislao. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Baudrix. Erik Cantona stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Serafin Xabat. 0-2. In the 40th match minute, Valendrada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Harris to maneuver through the defense. Donald Merritt scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serafin Xabat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Baudrix were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donald Harris made a kick off. Baudrix's German Burgos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Stanislao in the 61st minute of play. Bernabe Martino hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Donald Merritt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Harris in the 79th minute of play forced Baudrix's goalkeeper German Burgos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th match minute, Baudrix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Bittor to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 81 minutes, Donald Harris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valendrada FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donald Harris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donald Merritt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baudrix's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
