Everardo Jorrin struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Freddie Dyer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balbastro. Ivan Gorosti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Quintana having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Balbastro's zone, Santo Ibon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Quintana came out of the goal and Santo Ibon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Teodosio Esdras in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Everardo Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Balbastro's Matias Etxekopar got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ivan Gorosti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Soc y Dep Mate Amargo's Santo Ibon got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar Quintana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santo Ibon in the 29th minute of the match. Ivan Gorosti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Quintana having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Matias Etxekopar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balbastro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soc y Dep Mate Amargo the free kick. A collision led to Balbastro getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Matias Etxekopar hit a great ball. Santo Ibon struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Oscar Quintana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. With his leg Oscar Quintana managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Soc y Dep Mate Amargo's Ivan Gorosti fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 47 minutes into the match, Ivan Gorosti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Quintana. Balbastro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Gorosti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodosio Esdras to make the kick off. In the 58th minute Santo Ibon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Quintana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Ivan Gorosti notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Balbastro's Oscar Quintana. Oscar Quintana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Ivan Gorosti came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Soc y Dep Mate Amargo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Gorosti couldn't finish the play. If Everardo Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balbastro's Matias Etxekopar got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Matias Etxekopar off the ground. Matias Etxekopar hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Soc y Dep Mate Amargo's Jose Valiente tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Soc y Dep Mate Amargo's Freddie Dyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Soc y Dep Mate Amargo from getting a goal against them. Oscar Quintana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Ibon in the 96th minute of play. When Soc y Dep Mate Amargo's Santo Ibon in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balbastro's goalie prevented a goal. Balbastro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
