Nicanor Osasun's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Augusto Petri firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Azcurra AFC's zone, Alejandro Haritzeder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Petri came out of the goal and Alejandro Haritzeder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Lázaro Ieltxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Petri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Sein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, one of Junín:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Junín. In the 44th minute, Isidoro Pacifico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicanor Osasun was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Azcurra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Sein came free, but Augusto Petri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
